Call Us or Stop By Our Sammamish Office

What Happens After You Call

Dial (425) 225-4412 and you talk to someone who can look at your schedule, not a call center reading a script. Tell us what the door is doing - won't open, slams down, grinding noise, opener clicking but nothing moves - and we'll ask a few questions to figure out roughly what's wrong before anyone drives out. That matters because a torsion spring job and a track alignment job need different parts on the truck.

Once we've got the basics, we set a time to come look at the door in person. We don't quote blind over the phone for anything beyond the simplest jobs, because a door that sounds like a spring problem is sometimes a cable or a bent track, and guessing wrong wastes your time and ours. At the house, we diagnose, explain what we found in plain terms, and give you a price before any work starts.

One limitation worth saying up front: some opener models and odd-sized torsion springs aren't something we keep on the truck every day, and those jobs can mean a second visit once the part is in. We'd rather tell you that now than have you assume same-day on every repair.

You can also stop by our office at 2830 228th Ave SE, Sammamish, WA 98075, if you'd rather talk in person.

Where We Work

Our office is in Sammamish, and most of our calls come from homes in and around the city itself. We also take jobs in the places nearby: Klahanie, about 2 miles southeast, is close enough that it's practically part of the same drive. Ames Lake sits 4 miles out, Fall City and Union Hill-Novelty Hill are both around 6 miles, and Carnation and Newcastle run about 7 miles from our shop.

Farther out, we still cover East Renton Highlands, Snoqualmie, Lake Marcel-Stillwater, and Mercer Island, all roughly 9 miles away, along with Mirrormont, Medina, and Duvall around 10 miles. Beyond that - Cottage Lake, Maple Heights-Lake Desire, Fairwood, Bryn Mawr-Skyway, and Hobart - we'll still come out, though it's a longer drive each way.

North Bend, at about 15 miles, and Maltby, also around 15 miles, mark close to the edge of where a same-day visit makes sense. We don't rule out jobs past that line, but scheduling gets tighter the farther the drive. If you're not sure whether your address falls inside our range, the easiest way to find out is to call and ask - we'd rather tell you straight than have you wait on a truck that's not coming.

The Work We Take On

Across this service area, most houses were built between 1962 and 2005, with the bulk of that stock going up in the 1980s and 90s. That matters for garage doors because a door and opener installed when a house was built is often original or close to it - torsion springs rated for one weight of door, openers with drive systems that newer replacement parts don't always match cleanly.

We work on broken torsion and extension springs, cables that have jumped a drum or frayed, bent or misaligned tracks, rollers that have worn out and started binding, and openers that run but won't fully close or reverse partway through. We also handle full door and opener replacement when a repair doesn't make sense anymore - a door with rust through the bottom panel or an opener with a cracked gear housing is usually a replace, not a patch.

Winters here run cold, and a door that's been fine for years can start sticking or binding once temperatures drop and metal contracts. If your door works fine in summer and gives you trouble in the cold months, that's worth mentioning when you call.

We don't do fencing, general carpentry, or structural framing work - garage doors, openers, and the hardware that runs them is what we take on.

Who Does the Work

Whoever shows up at your house is the person who diagnosed the problem over the phone or is working directly off the notes from that call - we don't pass jobs between departments or send someone who hasn't seen the details. They'll walk you through what's wrong with the door before touching anything, and they'll tell you if a repair isn't worth doing compared to replacing the unit.

We keep this simple: one person or crew per job, start to finish, so you're not explaining the same problem twice. If a job needs a part we don't carry on the truck, the same person who diagnosed it is the one who follows up once it's in.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come out the same day I call?

Often, yes, especially for common jobs like a broken spring or a door stuck on its track. It depends on what's wrong and what the schedule looks like that day. If a part isn't something we carry on the truck, the first visit may be diagnosis only, with a return trip once the part arrives.

How far from Sammamish do you travel for a job?

We regularly cover places from Klahanie, about 2 miles away, out to North Bend and Maltby, around 15 miles. Past that distance we can sometimes still take a job, but scheduling gets harder. Call with your address and we'll tell you straight whether it fits our route.

My garage door opener runs but the door won't fully close. Can you fix that?

That's usually a sensor alignment issue, a limit setting that's drifted, or a worn gear inside the opener. We diagnose it in person rather than guessing over the phone, since any of those three point to a different fix and a different cost.

Is it ever not worth repairing a door?

Yes. A door with rust eating through the bottom panel, or an opener with a cracked internal gear housing, often costs more to patch than to replace outright. We'll tell you if that's the case for your door rather than billing you for a repair that won't hold.
